Engineering at the Intersection of FPGA, Hardware & Safety

AeroSystemsLab is an independent engineering platform focused on FPGA, digital hardware and safety-critical systems for aerospace, space, defense and high-reliability applications.
My mission is simple: turn engineering experience into practical technology.
I develop reusable FPGA IP, engineering tools and technical resources designed to solve recurring engineering challenges and make complex development activities more efficient, reliable and accessible.

My Approach

From Engineering Experience to Practical Technology

After more than a decade working across FPGA, digital hardware and safety-critical engineering, I have encountered many of the same technical challenges across different projects.

FPGA functions are repeatedly redeveloped. Safety mechanisms are often implemented from scratch. Certification activities can become complex and time-consuming. Valuable engineering knowledge frequently remains confined to individual projects.

I created AeroSystemsLab to approach these challenges differently.

My objective is to identify recurring engineering problems, develop practical solutions, validate them through engineering experiments, and turn the most valuable results into reusable products, tools, technical resources and training.

What I Build

Reusable FPGA IP

I develop safety-oriented FPGA building blocks designed to address recurring needs in aerospace and high-reliability systems.

Engineering Tools

I develop practical tools designed to simplify FPGA development, hardware engineering, verification and technical documentation.

Safety & Certification Resources

I create DO-254-oriented documentation, templates, checklists and methodologies to support structured safety-critical development.

Technical Knowledge

I share engineering knowledge through books, technical articles, research, engineering experiments and training.

An Engineering Lab, Not Just a Consultancy

AeroSystemsLab is designed to be more than a traditional engineering consultancy.
I continue to provide technical services and engineering support, but my long-term objective is to build reusable engineering assets that can deliver value beyond individual projects.
This includes FPGA IP, software tools, technical documentation, books, training material and experimental architectures.
Some ideas will remain experiments. Others may become open technical resources. The most promising solutions can evolve into products.

My approach is simple:

Identify → Build → Test → Learn → Improve → Productize

How I Work

Identify

I identify recurring engineering problems, technical bottlenecks and unmet needs in aerospace and high-reliability development.

Analyze

I study each problem from an FPGA, hardware, system architecture and safety perspective.

Build

I develop a prototype, reusable IP core, engineering tool or technical resource.

Verify

I evaluate the solution through simulation, analysis, testing and practical engineering validation.

Share

I document technical findings through engineering insights, research and practical resources.

Productize

When a solution proves useful, I turn it into a reusable product, IP, tool or service.
